THE FILIPINO FESTIVAL 2008 MENU
include

PANCIT (pahn – sit)
A favorite dish of pan-fried rice noodles to which chicken meat and vegetables are
gently yet briskly stir-added. It is delicately seasoned with popular oriental spices.

PORK BARBECUE on a Stick
Delicious pork pieces marinated with a special blend of juices and spices for
maximum flavor and tenderness, grilled on bamboo skewers to golden brown-ness.

BEEF BARBECUE on a Stick
Delicious chuck roast marinated with a special blend of juices and spices for
maximum flavor and tenderness, grilled on bamboo skewers to golden brown-ness.

LECHON (Let-TION)
Whole pig carefully prepared, stuffed and roasted whole to
awesome golden succulence.

CHICKEN ADOBO (A-doo-boo)
Flavorful chicken pieces sauteed and broiled in spices and vinegar.

PORK ADOBO (A-doo-boo)
Flavorful pork pieces sauteed and broiled in spices and vinegar.

CHOPSUEY (CHAP-sooy)
Vegetable dish delightfully sauteed in oyster sauce.  

LUMPIA (LOOM-pi-yah)
Fried egg roll filled with ground pork, minced onion, carrots, potato, crunchy water
chestnut, and other seasonings. Cooked to light golden brown.

EMPANADA  (em-pah-NAH-da)
Half-moon-shaped pastry stuffed with ground pork and vegetables.

MAJA BLANCA  (MA-ha BLANG-ka)
A smooth coconut-based custard and a famous summer dessert.

LECHE FLAN  (ley-chee plan)
A famous crème caramel dessert that is a must in elegant dinners in the islands.

HALO-HALO(ha-loo ha-loo)
Known as the “Queen of Desserts”, a most beloved Philippine treat, featuring
candied fruits and sweets savored well when blended with crushed ice and a dash of
evaporated milk and sugar.
